Meet Your Supervisor

 

 



Supervisor Karen Healy

 

   Karen was born in Fort Dix, New Jersey and was raised in an Air Force family. Karen graduated with honors from Sebring High School. She received her B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Central Florida in 1995, graduating cum laude. She moved to Port St. Lucie and worked as the Accreditation Manager for the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office. 

   In 2003, she became Deputy Supervisor for the Honorable Joe Campbell. Karen started her 20 years in elections on the bottom rung. She took on more administrative roles while working as Assistant Supervisor for the Honorable Penny Ogg. She is a 2015 Leadership Highlands graduate and completed her Master Florida Certified Election Professional (MFCEP) degree that same year.

   Karen is married to Michael Healy, a lead analyst for the Clerk's IT division. Both Karen and Mike are members of Bible Fellowship Church in Sebring. Karen is also a member of the Rotary Club of Sebring. It is her honor and privilege to work for the citizens of Highlands County. This is the place she calls home.
